JoseConseco 122 Report post Posted September 10, 2016 Creator of Nvil - IStonia - is making rocket3f software with collaboration of some 3d guy (ui, marketing). Nvill was/is great modeling software, but for me it was easier to do everyting in one app -blender, event though Blender is not as good as as Nvill in modeling department. RabenWulf 53 Report post Posted September 13, 2016 This is going to be a disaster. Who exactly is their target audience? Kids that run windows XP? Its sad too because Nvil was going the right direction, but it needed some serious marketing and a new name. In a way they are getting that, but in the worst way possible. ajz3d 786 Report post Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Don't worry. They said that NVil will still be developed. I believe R3F is a little side project of theirs, though I'm puzzled about its target audience too. Edited September 14, 2016 by ajz3d

bisenberger 36 Report post Posted September 15, 2016 The modelling is straight forward once you start playing around with it. Being able to pass models between it, MoI and 3D Coat is really powerful. Similar to Silo in that it is uncluttered and less finicky than modo.

kenmo 217 Report post Posted October 3, 2020 I've used the free version and like Rocket3F very much. If I did not already own Silo3D and Hexagon 3D, I would probably upgrade to the Pro version. I much prefer it's UI over NVIL which I found to be quite confusing....
