Member yaschan Posted September 21, 2016 Member Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 So it seems that GL64 is faster than DX in GeForce cards? DX is only meant for old cards?
Member Kabaal Posted September 21, 2016 Member Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 I noticed this message on the latest install of 4.7. Has something changed as I always though GL was for Quadros and DX was for GeForce cards. Its odd because both GL and DX64 run fine, but the DX version seems to run stupidly fast (400-500 fps) and cause my GPU to whine. Anyone else found this? Anyone else found this? Yup, the DX version always put my video card to a stress, even with simple scenes. With NVIDIA Inspector I was able to force 3DC not to exceed 60 fps, and since then everything has been quiet inside my workstation, and power bills a little bit lower. Member yaschan Posted September 29, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 For me DX version is unusable. I have GTX960.
Member nalan520 Posted October 5, 2016 Member Report Share Posted October 5, 2016 I am sure that your graphics card fan will whine in DX mode.
