Contributor Malo Posted September 29, 2016 Contributor Share Posted September 29, 2016 Only UV sets determines how many textures are exported. NOT Surface Materials, Paint Objects or Layers. As far as i know, now you could only export it manually every single textures one by one.

Contributor Malo Posted September 29, 2016 Contributor Share Posted September 29, 2016 In Paint Room. Top Row Textures -> Export Then choose Albedo, normal and what you all need.

Contributor Malo Posted September 29, 2016 Contributor Share Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) Hm, no. I dont have 3d coat in front of me, but if you klick on Textures, then on export, then choose Albedo, you get asked what UVset should be exported and klick on export. Then only one Albedo Texture gets exported, not 4, if i remember correctly. Maybe send it to PS, Gimp or Krita and save the textures manually from there. OR Create more UVsets in the UV Room and put the correct UV island in there. 3d Coat should keep the textures after appling the new UV sets. That could works, too. Advanced Member Kargall Posted September 29, 2016 Author Advanced Member Share Posted September 29, 2016 Hi Carlosan, Quote Treat retopo objects as objects instead of surface material as it was previously in 3D-Coat I do not understand this option. Contributor Malo Posted September 30, 2016 Contributor Share Posted September 30, 2016 You are a lucky guy. You won the third place on the modelling and texturing contest, but you have nearly no experiance in the texturing, retopo and uv process in 3d coat. I wish i had that much luck like you if i enter a contest Anyway, lets start at the beginning. Did your models share the same UVs or did every model use his own UVs ? How did you import it? Whats your workflow?

I wish i had that much luck like you if i enter a contest ...Just lucky? It's true, I do not like at all to UV and retopo ect ... .So I made the minimum, and I have not studied all the subtleties. My workflow: 1: I sculpt every model. 2: I make the retopo UV and unfolding of each mesh I export one by one in C4D 3: I reimport each piece one by one in 3DC for texturing. - For the competition, the car has never been full in the texturing room. - For this work, I tried to import the emsemble stage in the texturing room, but I left the name of UV by "default". Yes! This is a fatal error. I asked here how to import an entire scene for texturing .l'importation in FBX did not work:http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/20066-import-scene-complete-for-peinture-method/ I searched for a tutorial comprehensive stage on import / export a full scene but I have not found. Contributor Malo Posted October 3, 2016 Contributor Share Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) It is not a big deal to import a complede scene and every object use his own UV set. Simple klick in import "treat materials as separate textures" Every objekt gets filtered by its material and it makes no difference how you called the uvs. 20 objects -> 20 unique texture sets. Importing 30 objexts with NM is no problem. You have to export it (30 objects in one file) as obj with the Normalmap assigned. Then import the file in 3d coat with "treat materials as separate textures". If every thing is imported, you have to change the Blending mode of each layer from Standard Blend to Normalmap. Thats all. Tested with Blender, i hope C4D works similar. Edited October 3, 2016 by Malo
