Member Chilton Webb Posted December 22, 2016 Member Share Posted December 22, 2016 Hi, Is there a way to make a brush act like the Trim Smooth Border brush in Zbrush? Basically it uses the initial normal detected when you click, for all subsequent actions, until the mouse is released. Thank you! -Chilton

carrots
Hi,You can install 3D-Coat 4.7.18 and use Plane tool or Flatten tool with the option On Plane. "Type Of Surface" choose PlaneBasedBeforePaint.
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted December 23, 2016 Reputable Contributor Share Posted December 23, 2016 To add to this, when using the Plane tool, or Flatten Brush with "On Plane" option chosen, you can walk the plane forward and backward using the + and - key on the NUM pad. Solution Javis Posted December 23, 2016 Solution Share Posted December 23, 2016 I usually end up using the flatten tool with the plane option. It works almost exactly like what you're looking for.
