Member LaidbackLemur Posted January 19, 2017 Member Share Posted January 19, 2017 I have no idea why this is happening, I can paint fine on a 1k texture setting however when I want to paint on a 2k texture I get some issues occurring. The setting's I have are exactly the same for each, just the different texture sizes.

Carlosan
You begun at 1K and then change to 2K using this command ?
Member LaidbackLemur Posted January 20, 2017 Author Member Share Posted January 20, 2017 No I'm going through New --> Paint UV Mapped Mesh --> File --> Change size there I'm noticing that it's only occurring a particular part of my model which are the doors, not the frame. I've also tried Importing the door as a separate mesh to the door frame, and again its only happening on the door. I've tried various texture sizes and it seems to only be happening on a 2k texture, even 4k size works fine. Here are some images to clarify. ps please note the size of the door itself in respect to the grid, when I import it it appears to be larger than intended? All these imports are OBJ. I've also performed a fresh install.
Carlosan
Can you please share the model to take a look ? ty

Carlosan
Before import assign a material in your external app, this solve the issue. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Door.obj If i begin the project at 1K and change the resolution to 2K using the command Paint Room > Edit Mesh > paint and texture resolution everything is ok. But... if i import model For Paint pixel painting selecting texture size 2k, some issues occurring. Confirmed and bug reported. ty Doorwithmaterial.mtl Doorwithmaterial.obj

Member LaidbackLemur Posted January 20, 2017 Author Member Share Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) Btw I've used "lock normals" and "unlock normals" within maya 2016 and exported as obj again, and in both cases it no longer causes issues. Door_lockednormals.obj Door_unlockednormals.obj Actually just tried with it combine still happening, i'll just leave it for now and move on Edited January 20, 2017 by LaidbackLemur
Carlosan
You assigned a material before the export ?
Member LaidbackLemur Posted January 20, 2017 Author Member Share Posted January 20, 2017 I'm still having the same problem unfortunately when I apply material before exporting. It appears to work ok when I export the frame and the door as separate objects. I'll keep trying

Member LaidbackLemur Posted January 21, 2017 Author Member Share Posted January 21, 2017 Hey it works now that method. I tried previously having all the uvs in the 0-1 space but I never had the "Import tiles as UV sets" option enabled. Thanks a lot for all the help guys, it was a newbie error on my end after all. Everything seems to be working fine now
