Member omni Posted February 15, 2017 Member Share Posted February 15, 2017 Hi all. Im learning 3dcoat. [Latest version]. What exactly is a Template. Is it something you can access within 3dcoat. All i understand at present is that if a material has a template then this allows you to change in some way an original image that,s associated with the template therefore you are able to create your own materials. Thanks if you can provide any usefull comments/advice

Member omni Posted February 15, 2017 Author Member Share Posted February 15, 2017 Thanks Carlosan for response. There is nothing i could provide an image of that would help here. My question is all about what the word template means how is it used and how do you access/use the template aspect of a material. Ive searched for the word template in 3dcoat via Edit/textures and material Editor. Cannot find any reference to templates hence my question. Could it be that the word template is simply a reference term when an actual real world texture image is used as part of a material eg. brick/tile/concrete/wood etc. If it is then maybe i should be looking for options to do with a materials image were there could be an option to change the image.
