Member Mechapangolin Posted November 12, 2017 Member Report Share Posted November 12, 2017 Ok, here's the deal. My character was modeled in a T Pose. To my ultimate chagrin, apparently that's taboo in the rigging world today (rigging is the bane of my existence I swear to God). I already painted the textures and did the UVs. I need to adjust the character's pose to make it an A Pose. Obviously, since this is 3d and nothing is ever simple, that means I have to redo all the UVs and Textures, right? Or is there a way to preserve the old textures and place them on the newly adjusted model?
Reputable Contributor Fluffy Posted November 12, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted November 12, 2017 If you go to the Sculpt Room and adjust the pose of your high poly model with the Conform Retopo Mesh option enabled (see video below for details), you should then be able to use the Update Paint Mesh with Retopo Mesh option (found in the Retopo Room > Bake menu) to replace your paint object with your newly adjusted retopo object while still retaining all the UVs and Paint Layers.
