Member motionworks Posted January 19, 2018 Member Share Posted January 19, 2018 Anyone have a clue why UVs which are oriented correctly in 3Dcoat appear flipped when imported into Cinema4d? I'm exporting as FBX from Coat but OBJ is the same issue.
Member motionworks Posted January 19, 2018 Author Member Share Posted January 19, 2018 Just tried with a custom UV checker in 3D Coat and it shows as flipped (matching C4D) I had flipped all of the islands before exporting to FBX based on the complex checker). Does this mean the complex checker is wrong? Not sure if this is a bug perhaps.
Carlosan
Hi ! Are you using latest version ? Please try Texture > ExportUV
Member motionworks Posted January 19, 2018 Author Member Share Posted January 19, 2018 Thanks, updating to 4.8.09 appears to make no difference. The Complex Checker is still flipped. best, John.
Carlosan
On 4/11/2016 at 1:57 PM, ajz3d said: It's a known glitch. Complex checker is horizontally (and probably also vertically) flipped in the viewport (http://3dcoat.com/mantis/view.php?id=2048). As a workaround, open the checker2.tga file from C:\Program Files\3D-Coat-V4.5\textures (or whatever your installation directory is), flip it and save a copy to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\3D-CoatV45\textures\ under the same name.
