Member Cybergooch Posted February 15, 2018 Member Report Share Posted February 15, 2018 I seem to recall seeing a video where working in Surface mode had the ability to vary the density of the mesh in certain areas, so you could add more detail on some parts of the model. Is there any way to do the same thing with voxels? Or are voxel models always the same density throughout?
Reputable Contributor Fluffy Posted February 15, 2018 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted February 15, 2018 @Cybergooch No, voxel density is uniform across each layer. Think of voxel layers as bitmaps but with 3 dimensions rather than 2, increasing the resolution of a voxel layer increases the density of the voxels on that layer in much the same way that increasing the resolution of a bitmap increases the number/density of pixels in the image.
