Member Spacetime Posted April 21, 2018 Member Report Share Posted April 21, 2018 I had repeated mistakes at the Retopo work. I could now reproduce it. Please watch the video. 2018-04-21 04-15-23.mkv
Reputable Contributor digman Posted April 21, 2018 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted April 21, 2018 I watched the video. Possible bug... In 3DC under the Help menu, you can send the file to support. Explain the problem and a link to your thread. If you would like me to look at the problem as well, pm me with link to your 3DC file. Some FYI information. Thin areas like at the edge of the blade are at times problematic when retopoing. I even turn off auto snap when I need to and adjust by hand. I generally do not use virtual symmetry around thin areas. Virtual symmetry works best on areas that are thicker. My own workflow does not use virtual symmetry very much. I will explain below. Real symmetry will do everything that virtual symmetry will do as long as the model is symmetrical. The other symmetrical side will be built out as well. You can also use the symmetry commands highlighted in the picture with real symmetry.
Member Spacetime Posted April 21, 2018 Author Member Report Share Posted April 21, 2018 Ok, thanks. By the way undo not solve this problem when once occurred. And Restart of 3D Coat helps only when before not saved. I find a simple workaround: disable symmetry, create new retopo group, create a new polygon, enable symmetry. This steps fix symmetry in all groups. 2018-04-21 04-35-05.mkv
