Member SpaceRabbit Posted May 8, 2018 Member Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 Hi all, I'm using 3D coat for texturing assets that i'm taking into Ue4. I'm using the export object and textures preset for UE4 and everything comes over great except roughness seems off. Things in UE4 seem glossier then in 3D coat. Now, I know this could be due to the object not reflecting the same environment as it is in 3dcoat, but even the specular highlight seems tighter then I would expect. I'm new to UE4, so I'm wondering if perhaps there is something I'm missing such as not having a correct gamma curve on the roughness map export or something like that. I'm using 3Dcoat 4.8.15 and UE 4.19.1 Thanks so much for any help! --BT
Advanced Member druh0o Posted May 8, 2018 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 Make sure SRGB is turned off for roughness maps in UE4 and choose linear color in material editor: 2
