Member MaxHancock Posted July 30, 2018 Member Report Share Posted July 30, 2018 In this video, Javis is using the Metalness and Roughness sliders at the top of the interface to affect the value of glossiness you can paint. But when I use them, they have no effect at all. Is it a bug?
Carlosan
Your current workflow is Roughness/Metralness ? Can you share model's UVlayout screencapture ?
Member MaxHancock Posted July 30, 2018 Author Member Report Share Posted July 30, 2018 Sure... here are some screen captures. I am using a Roughness/Metalness workflow. Currently, I'm controlling the level of gloss by painting it on another layer and then controlling the amount via Roughness Opacity on the layer blending. Carlosan
Are you using latest version 4.8.20 Was solved an issue with metalness 4.8.20 - Fixed problem of metalness painting with custom alphas.
Carlosan
If you select any default model (Shift+M) and paint metalness... everything works fine ?
Member MaxHancock Posted July 30, 2018 Author Member Report Share Posted July 30, 2018 Confirmed, I am using 4.8.20 I think I know what I'm doing wrong. I've been kind of using an incorrect paint workflow all this time!
