New Member FelipeChaves Posted December 4, 2018 New Member Report Share Posted December 4, 2018 Hi, Recently I bought a drawing monitor Huion KAMVAS 191-V2, but for some reason it doesn't work properly with 3D-Coat. Initially I thought it could be a Driver issue so I updated everything possible, Tablet Driver, 3D-Coat, Graphics Card, Windows, but it still didn't work. It works fine in any other software, Photoshop, zBrush, Substance Painter. This is what is happening in 3D-Coat: If I have "TabletPC" on my Tablet Interface preferences, every action with my Pen will have a very annoying "delay", where it kinda freezes the action of the cursor whether it is to make a brush stroke or simply rotate the camera. If I have "WinTab" on my preferences it works smooth BUT, every brush erases instead paint. I tried to find a way to change the "mouse button" for painting to see if it would "fix" it, but I couldn't find anything related. I don't know if anybody here have ever experienced something like this, but I'll be glad with any help you guys can provide. Thank you! Contributor Tony Nemo Posted December 28, 2018 Contributor Report Share Posted December 28, 2018 I have always used a yiynova tablet and it works fine with 3D-Coat. Mine was the first on the market but I have always used it with Win 7 so maybe haven't encountered driver issues.

Advanced Member Mihu83 Posted January 7, 2019 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) Is there any solution for this problem? I have exact same problems with Huion Kamvas Pro 20 Tilt: - WinTab - sculpt without problem, but doesn't paint. When object is painted with bucket fill, all brushes acts as eraser instead painting. - PenTablet - scultping and painting works, but no pressure sensivity. Enabling WindowsInk in tablet settings brings back pressure, but there are lags, freezes, delays. Tested with 3DC 4.8.31 and 4.8.16. Advanced Member Mihu83 Posted January 7, 2019 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 Well, I see only one driver for this device on HUION site, as this is very fresh device, released in December I guess.
Member deburger Posted January 8, 2019 Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2019 (edited) Looks like latest one is v14.7.60. My Gaomon has same numbers as well, so I can assume that they use same driver or some forks... try to find any Huion Kamvas v13 driver. Here's one for windows I just googled https://www.huiontablet.com/drivers/WinDriver/HuionTablet_WinDriver_v13.15.16.zip Edited January 8, 2019 by deburger
Advanced Member Mihu83 Posted January 8, 2019 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2019 (edited) Unfortunately that doesn't work - with any other driver, this device is not recognized(Device not connected). This model have new pen, "different technology", it's similar to Wacom, there is Tilt function, etc. I guess, I'll contact Huion and see what they have to say about it.Right now this device is useless for me. I really thinking about getting Cintiq 24 instead playing around with half measures - it's pricey as hell(definitely overpriced), but it have better resolution( HUION's 1920 x 1080 isn't very good this days, even on 20 inch display), way better screen( color reproduction, contrasts, Adobe RGB), etc. HUION screen isn't very good, epecially in comparison with my NEC display. I know some people have problems with Wacom drivers, but I can't relate to this, as I haven't encountered single problem during 5 years experience with Intuos5.
