New Member SimaPly Posted February 24, 2019 New Member Report Share Posted February 24, 2019 Hello, I have a problem that should be best explained by the following image. Screenshot I have a corner in a clean topo mesh and during unwrapping it does something strange. Since this is supposed to be the ground it has low distortion and should almost be a planar projection. Any ideas on how to fix? Best regards, Sima

New Member SimaPly Posted February 24, 2019 Author New Member Report Share Posted February 24, 2019 now that I took my sculpted retopo mesh and want to reunwrap it (was subdivided once), anytime I unwrap it, it does completely stupid stuff with the exact same behavior that it twists nearly every island into a overlapping ******? It didn't behave like that with the lowpoly version. Any idea?
Carlosan
After modify your mesh, did you cleaned all old seams and make a new uvmap with new seams ?
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted February 24, 2019 Contributor Report Share Posted February 24, 2019 Have you tried other unwrapping methods? Some will give awful results to some configurations.
Advanced Member Dmitry Bedrik Posted February 25, 2019 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 25, 2019 Isn't it easier to use a blender for such purposes? In my personal opinion, the room of retopology, work with the scan, one continuous torment with a bunch of unfinished tools without user convenience. Unlike the sculpture room, which is pretty good.
