Member dniitall Posted April 27, 2019 Member Report Share Posted April 27, 2019 i'm going nuts over this example: 1. i have a dagger. i want to use the Snake brush with radial symmetry 2. i go to the dagger, set up symmetry (bounding box) 3. i go to an empty vox layer and want to begin, but the symmetry is reset to zero i can't find any way to leave the symmetry i set up in the other vox layer. copy and paste is a very time wasting chore any tips/ideas? TIA.
Advanced Member gbball Posted April 28, 2019 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 28, 2019 Symmetry is per layer. The is a button at the bottom of the voxtree panel that will let you duplicate the space settings of the current layer. That might work. Or, you could duplicate the original layer and then delete its contents before doing the brush work you want.
Member dniitall Posted April 28, 2019 Author Member Report Share Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) thanx! that helps quite a bit [edit] nope. does''t work. everything resets after changing resolution and/or tool what' even more crazy, that i can no longer copy the values manually. it shows correct values but it's completely off well, back to copy paste copy paste copy paste Edited April 28, 2019 by dniitall

Just tried it on my end and it works properly. I'm on Windows 10, using 4.8.38_SL DX It should work how you tried it. The new layer should default to the same symmetry as what you were just using, and you should also be able to change it per layer after the fact if you want. Carlosan
Confirmed Using latest version, duplicate space command is working fine
