smart material and lasso paint problem

hi, i'm  experiencing a strange behavior with smart material roughness painting.

let's open a uv paint project.
press 3 to see the roughness.
create a layer and fill the layer with 50% roughness.
create another layer above.
create a smart material with 100% roughness.
paint with this smart material with a brush : everything fine.
now paint with this smart material with a lasso: it dosen't work.

you can't paint more roughness (above 50%) with the lasso tool.

This issue was solved on version 4.8.39

Testing Metalness / Roughness workflow is working fine.

Try upgrading your version please.
