New Member Ktheorin1 Posted June 22, 2019 New Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2019 I’ve seen this posted on several forums before about being able to import and use photoshop abr brushes, but I’ve been unable to find information about how to do it and the program itself doesn’t seem to allow it. Is this possible in 3D coat and if so, how would one do it?
Carlosan
Hi You should just be able to load them into the Brushes panel with the + icon.
New Member Ktheorin1 Posted June 22, 2019 Author New Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2019 Where do I find the brushes panel? All I see is alphas and brush options. Is it called brushes or is it under something else?
Carlosan
Brushes, Alphas. Both nomenclatures are the same.

In case anyone is out there Googling how to import Photoshop ABR brushes into 3DCoat: Click that + at the end: Then choose Open Texture File. I'm certain people are getting lost here, it won't occur to the average user that an ABR file is considered a "texture" file. When the file window opens, all good: Hope this helps someone.
Advanced Member kenmo Posted October 10, 2021 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 10, 2021 (edited) Sorry, but that is just plain DUMB for 3DC to name a Photoshop brush as a texture. I've been using Photoshop for a long time and I've NEVER heard any Photoshop user call a Photoshop brush, a texture. Kyle Webster creates many ABRs for Photoshop and not heard him refer to a PS brush as a texture. 3DC needs to fix this with the proper nomenclature of "PS Brush" . It simply causes confusion. Cheers & many thanks for an outstanding app. Kenmo Edited October 10, 2021 by kenmo
