Member Helge Maus Posted July 3, 2019 Member Report Share Posted July 3, 2019 Hello guys, Is there a documentation or a tutorial which shows the use of the new soft booleans? Haven't found anything yet. Thanks a lot, Helge
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted July 3, 2019 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 3, 2019 There is not really much to cover. Some of the basic primitives have parameters for filleting. That's about it.

Member Helge Maus Posted July 3, 2019 Author Member Report Share Posted July 3, 2019 Hi, don't find any information about the "Soft Booleans" there ... These are about the fillets Thanks, Helge
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted July 3, 2019 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 3, 2019 It only works in Surface mode and the parameters are available by toggling the gear icon in the upper right part of the Tool Options panel. Member Helge Maus Posted July 3, 2019 Author Member Report Share Posted July 3, 2019 Yes, found that, but the Booleans are still merging the Layers completely together. I would expect, that they are working live, so that I can change the positions of the layers, right? Or I don't understand, what this feature is about. That's the reason why I search for documentation or a video tutorial. Sorry, Helge
Member Helge Maus Posted July 3, 2019 Author Member Report Share Posted July 3, 2019 Ok, found my problem. SoftBooleans are not a kind of "Live Booleans" like I thought, they seem only to make softer edges. So, I misunderstood the feature.

Perhaps Andrew can use a variant of the Vox Hide tool, to create live booleans, soon. Right now, I think he is working on a unified brush engine and Sculpt Layers functionality/compatibility with more tools. Live Booleans might be something he takes on after V5 is released.
