New Member Rodrigo Krieger Posted July 22, 2019 New Member Report Share Posted July 22, 2019 Hi, First time trying to sculpt in 3D Coat, everything was going fine using the Move tool to adjust the shape but then when I tried to do a constant small line the brush kept failing. If you check the image you can understand, all that spaced dots were supposed to be a line. Not a tablet problem, the same thing happens using the mouse. Can you guys help me? Thank you. Carlosan
Try RMB over layer and use the command To global Space
New Member Rodrigo Krieger Posted July 23, 2019 Author New Member Report Share Posted July 23, 2019 Hey Carlosan, I've tried both actions with no success. I uploaded the file so you can take a look. And I just confirmed a friend of mine with the same problem. Anything else you recommend? Thank you. head_line_problem.3b
Carlosan
Using Command > resample (space bar) try incresing voxlayer density to tris: 1.000.000 to get better result. On this model Voxel Resolution is very low to get fine details using small cursor size.
New Member Rodrigo Krieger Posted July 23, 2019 Author New Member Report Share Posted July 23, 2019 Thanks Carlosan, it helped a lot. It still happens sometimes even with 5.000.000 density but I guess I can live with it. I also noticed if I do the lines slowly is worse than doing it quickly (images attached). Anyways, if you have any other recommendation to make it better let me know. Thanks again.
Carlosan
Voxels are like 3D pixels (made of clay, let's say) and are very good for creating a model that needs only surface details added. It is the preferred medium for doing booleans without errors and for blocking out shapes. Use surface mode to add fine details (especially with the automatic tessellation used in the Live Clay tools).
