AO on-transparency VS on-white

Hi,
When doing a pbr asset, we:
1-Vertex-Paint smart-materials over a high poly.
2-Bake this high poly on our retopo.
3-Simply re-apply the smart material on the HD textures to have normal map info and High definition details.

EXCEPT:
AmbientOcclusion (baked from the high poly) DOES NOT work on the paint object, so all smart materials appears in a single dirt color for example (everything occluded)

BECAUSE:
Paint objects can have a smart-mat painted over, only if the AmbientOcclusion layer is BLACK+WHITE.

BUT:
The baked AmbientOcclusion (That allows the smart-mat to be re-applied, exactly the same way they are on the high poly), is BLACK+TRANSPARENCY.

SO:
The only option to do properly pbr assets in Coat right now is:
Fill a layer in white on all models + merge this layer with the baked AmbientOcclusion layer, to transform transparency into solid white, so smart-mat work again on the paint object.

If anything can be done about that, it would be great as this trick takes quite a bit of time and patience. Took me days to discover what was going on, had to export the ambientOcclusion to discover the one baked on high poly is transparent, the other baked from a paint-object is on white.
