[Solved] OSX 10.15.1 Catalina block because it's not from an identified developer

I found this issue in an earlier thread with an earlier version of OSX with same start up crash problem and followed the same instruction. I deleted all download files and user folder and still didn't help. I clicked open anyway and still got this "Apple cannot check it for malicious software" message.

Hi 

Ensure to check "System Preferences > Security & Privacy > click the "lock" > select "App Store and identified developers" (when only "App Store" is selected error message is displayed "3DCoat" can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store)

Hi @Carlosan this isn't quite the message I received as you can see I have the correct setting but apple sent me this screen after it failed to launch. 3D Coat window came up as empty grey window and then was immediately closed. There is no "allow apps from 'Anywhere' " option by the seems of things in this OS...
