New Member Justyhead Posted February 6, 2020 New Member Share Posted February 6, 2020 I recently installed the 3D Coat Modding program after trying out the original 3D Coat program, and was wondering if there is a way to select specific regions and paint only within that selection. For example, in Photoshop, I can use the pen, lasso, or even a shape marquee to select a region for active editing only. This is a draft but I was wondering if, and how I could precisely select and color in the rings within the handguard; I sketched the design intent roughly to better explain the region. Also, as you can see in the third image, it highlights the upper and lower handguard assembly as a whole.
Member ryivhnn Posted February 7, 2020 Member Share Posted February 7, 2020 There's the snowflake which will freeze areas, you could maybe freeze around the bits you don't want to paint? There's also a magic wand thing which seems to do a similar thing but for colours. It's a bit of an arseabout way to do it but I don't know any better ^_^;
