Member jammer42777 Posted May 14, 2020 Member Report Share Posted May 14, 2020 Hi, I'm not sure where to post this. I'm trying to teach myself 3dcoat. Tried some subtraction with geometry and I'm getting really weird artifices and I have no idea how to fix this. I have the demo but I'm looking to make this my main modeler. Also I accidentally stamped a cube that I need to get rid of. How do I get rid of voxelized objects that I don't need? Anyways Thanks for putting up with the N00b, Any help would be fantastic! --Joshua
philnolan3d
I actually just reported this same thing. I think it's a bug. All I can think of is using the cut-off tool to remove the artifacts or smooth them out of existence.
Member jammer42777 Posted May 14, 2020 Author Member Report Share Posted May 14, 2020 I'll try to hobble through the tutorial that I bought. Hopefully the bug gets fixed soon.
Advanced Member Falconius Posted May 14, 2020 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 14, 2020 Just as a note, boolean operations perform much better voxel mode. When I model I try to take care of all the boolean operations there before I switch to surface mode (actually I try to care of most of the stuff I can in voxel mode before switching to surface, it's a more forgiving environment).
Member jammer42777 Posted May 20, 2020 Author Member Report Share Posted May 20, 2020 As I'm learning more about 3dcoat I've realized that I can do this much easier using voxel hide. Thank you for your help!
