New Member sharpbrothers Posted June 11, 2020 New Member Report Share Posted June 11, 2020 Hi All, I have purchased 3DCoat and a new rig with a GeForce RTX card however i am unable to get 3DCoat to start in GL mode. It starts in DX mode however the installer sounded like GL would take advantage of new card better. I was hoping the .49 update would help. Firstly is GL or DX mode better for RTX cards? Secondly how do I get it to run. I followed all the crash warning advice (delete mydocuments folder, update card driver etc)to no avail. Please help. Thanks, Rob
Carlosan
Hi Use version GL if you have Quadro cards or OSX. DX is ok for GeForce. Please contact support@3dcoat.com asking for installation issues. Thx
Reputable Contributor Featured Comment AbnRanger Posted June 11, 2020 Reputable Contributor Featured Comment Report Share Posted June 11, 2020 It's not going to use RTX anyway. I use DX all the time, anyway (GTX 1080Ti). Seems more stable than GL
