Can we get a feature to allow export of ONE paint object?

If I wish to make a texture atlas, I can import multiple objects, easily merge the UVs and textures to one UV set, but when it comes to exporting the models with the new UV data, they all get merged into one object in the .obj which is definitely not what I want.

It would be great to export each separate paint object, either all in one operation (best) or one by one. Rigbht now, the solution is to save, delete all but one paint object, export, reload, delete all but the next object, export, reload.. and on and on

Have you tried Export Separate Retopo Objects under the Retopo menu in the Retopo room. I would take that you have separate retopo objects as you have different models.

Each Retopo Object will have the retopo object name in the exported model file.

The uv set name stays the same so you retain the shared uv set.

You deleted all the unused uv sets as well? Only left with one.

I do not know how you imported your model for merging your UV sets.

This chair is two separate retopo objects each having a uv set. Merged one to the other. Deleted the unused UV set.

Exported as stated. I get two model files exported but each referencing the same uv set.

The above is  a method, I do not know if it will meet your workflow specific needs.
