New Member killonious Posted August 9, 2020 New Member Report Share Posted August 9, 2020 Hello. I need help with adding a hex pattern. I have version 4.9.37. When ever I try to add a hex pattern over a "sharp" curved I get a weird artifact at the sharp bend. See attracted picture. How can I add a more uniformed pattern to a surface with a sharper curve. Sorry if this is a noob question. Thanks Pete
Advanced Member sprayer Posted August 9, 2020 Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 9, 2020 You now choose cube mapping mode what is projectile texture from 3 axis, for better mapping you need to make unwrapping and choose mode from uv
New Member killonious Posted August 17, 2020 Author New Member Report Share Posted August 17, 2020 Hello. Thanks for the info. I am not too familiar with UVs and stuff. I mostly use 3Dcoat for 3d printed models. So I was able to retopo the one section of my model. Than bake with normal map. Than I was able to paint the texture I want on to "baked" layer. Now how can I take that texture and make it into a sculpted texture in my model? I want that texture on my model so I can 3D print it. Thanks Pete
Carlosan
Hi Bake Into Scene (Microvertex) instead of bake with normal map. from Paint Room assign texture. Then File > Export for 3D printing
