Member Kuro's 3D Art Posted November 17, 2020 Member Report Share Posted November 17, 2020 Im using 3Dcoat for Retopo and UV. I do my models in zbrush (go through the pipeline, decimation etc) then import them in 3dcoat and i can do the retopo. The issue is with the retopo exported OBJ, everytime i try to import them back to Zbrush a message appears "Error encountered while importing a file". I tried different models and subtools, and it always gives me that error. One time it did allowed me to import a mesh but it was deformed even though it looked fine in the retopo room. I tried to import that "deformed" mesh into 3dcoat to see if the issue was Zbrush, but it look deformed in 3dcoat too, so my guess is that the issue is 3dcoat only. Also tried using fbx but it was pointless.

I think the issue is 3dcoat, i tried importing the same retopo objects i exported from and to 3dcoat and the meshes were empty or deformed

The issue sadly is with any object. I tried using other meshes like primitives from zbrush, and once i export the retopo mesh with 3dcoat the error message appears on import in zbrush and a blank mesh on 3dcoat.
