Symmetry across Voxtree Layers

Is it possible to have symmetry affect multiple voxtree layers? I believe zbrush allowed to to select between global and local symmetry (it's been a while since I used it). Looking for something similar. Right now I think the only way is to have everything on one voxtree layer for symmetry and then split to separate layers later. Not horrible but not as convenient either.

Hi

3DCoat has symmetry across multiple layers, even simultaneously.

With Ctrl+LMB > select individual layers

Press S

Switch axis ON

Hope it help

How to select individual layers:

- The correct way is to only select children layers.

- Avoid selecting Parent and children at same time. Symmetry settings on the parent have influence over the children. Can generate issues.

You may use instance copy, take a look how it works on standard mannequin model

This is what I would recommend.  In a lot of ways, it offers enhanced flexibility because you can transform objects to have different orientations, while keeping the geo linked.

I'll give that a try. Worth testing even if I don't use it.
