New Member Justin Meisse Posted January 28, 2021 New Member Report Share Posted January 28, 2021 Discard Clip Masked Pixels doesn't work and hasn't worked for 5+ years. Any chance this could be addressed, it's a useful feature when painting alpha cards. Here's someone asking about it in 2015:

New Member Ndeitmers Posted May 7, 2021 New Member Report Share Posted May 7, 2021 Hi, I am fairly new to 3D Coat but very experienced with Photoshop (as is everyone I guess). After trying to get "discard clip masked pixels" to work I decided to ask the community for help, to find out that this has been a nkown issue for years? Since adding and subtracting layer masks is the bread and butter for a clean workflow I am quite surprised to see this. I wonder what the reason is. Is there a better workflow for this? Let's say I have to overlapping layer masks and I would like to create a new mask for the visible pixels on the bottom layer. How would I do that?
