Nvidia announced they are launching the new RTX A2000 GPU today which is meant for professional workstations. NVIDIA states is it the smallest Ampere-based GPU so far and it can be implemented into small form factor workstations. The new GPU is designed primarily for professionals who need the power of ray tracing and Nvidia’s AI capabilities.

The RTX A2000 brings 8 teraflops of GPU performance, 3328 CUDA cores, 6GB of GDDR6 memory with ECC, plus a memory clock of 6001Mhz. The team also noted that it uses 70 watts of power which means it's super power-efficient.

The foundation of the new GPU is Nvidia’s latest Ampere architecture which boosts performance in our favorite 3D apps including Blender, ZBrush, 3ds Max, and more. The new tech also includes second-generation RT cores, third-generation tensor cores for AI tools and PCIe 4 support.
