Hey Forum (noob question)

I don't think I see it in any of the brushes, but is there a tutorial or technique... in trying to clone/rubber stamp geometry from one part of a sculpture to another part?

For example, I have tree bark texture from 3D scanning, I'd like to clone this bark texture geometry into other parts of the tree.  There's no texture map, it's all just geometry. I'm thinking

of cutting and pasting the geometry from 1 area into another, but I'd rather use a brush.

Possible??

thank you

I take it your scanning software exported the vertex color instead of creating a texture map.

A little hard to answer as I do not know for sure which room you are in.

I would guess Sculpt room in Surface mode which will display vertex colors. Correct.?

I await your answer before going forward.

I'd love to find a way  (like the new Copy tool in surface mode)

but in the voxelized sculpt toolkit

I'd like to clone/rubber stamp  geometry from one area and brush it in another area on the 3d model.

Think of Photoshop's clone tool, but with geometry and in a brush.  Possible?   Or is this a brush I'm not familiar with in the latest version?
