Advanced Member Kargall Posted October 4, 2021 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 4, 2021 Hello, Could you tell me how to calculate a cavity map for a new object, after having calculated the cavity of other objects before. Reputable Contributor digman Posted October 4, 2021 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 4, 2021 Not sure if that is possible at this current time if I am reading your post correctly. 3DC only creates one cavity/curvature map for all objects in the scene. Did you add the new object to the scene? Do you want a separate cavity/ curvature map for the object in addition to the default one. Looks like a user feature request. Calculate a separate RGB cavity or curvature map per object. In the other method of curvature calculation you could select calculate (separate paint objects) in the tool's panel but still you only arrived at one curvature map. Is there a workaround. I am leaving town so no testing to see if it is possible till I return.
