Advanced Member geo_n Posted March 17, 2022 Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 17, 2022 Is there a way to change the angle of the light source for texture light baking tool? I never figured this out ever since I can only move it along the horizontal axis and always coming from the front(red arrows), side or back. I want to point it downward(green arrows) so that the backside is not so dark.
Carlosan
If you select the option Light from render room, any light created on Render room can be baked to lightmap.
Advanced Member geo_n Posted March 19, 2022 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 19, 2022 (edited) I tried it but it seems light scattering is not supported when baking. Must be a bug. The baked result looks very dark without light scattering. Edit: lightscattering works as long as the light angle is not 90, 180 deg Edited March 19, 2022 by geo_n
Carlosan
if bake is too dark try modifying setting intensity. You also could try Light Baking Tool > Light and Reflections in flat shading mode. It picks up any light you have set up in render room, including environment light.
