I know this is a basic question, but I've searched on google and on here, and also looked in the folders that come with 3d Coat, but just find, .json or .xml files in the stencils/alphas folder. if I have a basic black and white shape in photoshop, how do I turn that into a brush or stencil and get it into 3D coat to be used?

Hello

Open Stencil panel and press the plus icon.

Or drag and drop the image to select popup import options.

It brings up the dialogue box with the userpreferences folder selected. So I can just select my .jpg/.png? Does it have to be a certain format?
