I find it odd that this is a "per session" based setting, as user preference regarding rotation behavior won't likely change between sessions. Already thought about giving it a shortcut, but it would be a waste of a shortcut imo. Plus you have to think about it at the beginning of each new session, or get reminded because you suddenly realize your preferred rot method is not set, yet, again. I think it should be a general, global setting, just as you can do it in Blender Preferences. Not a huge deal, but kind of unnecessary having to set this as a user for each new session.
