Can the retopology mesh be realigned with the surface?

Hello all.

I am 3/4 of the way into a character retopology. It is my first use of 3D Coat. As I have been working, the points of the retopology mesh have become distant from the surface, so that the new mesh will be inaccurate. Is there a tool that I can use to snap the points of the new mesh onto the surface?

Many thanks.

Jake

Thanks Carlosan. That's certainly good to know. I will have that on from the start in future.

I wondered if there was a way of re aligning work that I have already done? I would imagine that as you work out a good topology, there will always be areas that sink into or stand above the surface. To correct this, I have been deleting polygons and then recreating them but this workaround is a bit labour intensive.

Cheers.

Jake
