I didn't know how to use the 3D-COAT measure tool because it doesn't convert the numerical value even if the unit is changed, but I finally understood it this time, so I'll write it here.

Conclusion

① Decide the unit you want to use with the measure tool.

(2) Set the conversion value by yourself.

(3) Do not use other units. If you want to change the unit, start over from ①.

Where to set the conversion value

In "Edit Scene Scale" of "Geometry" in Poxel Room (sculpt)

"SceneScale".

The default value is "1", which is "mm".

This means that if the number in the tool is 1, it means 1mm.

To make it easier to understand, let's create a cube with a side of 1000mm (1m) with a primitive tool.

Since the unit is mm, enter 1000 for all "size".

Set the unit of the measuring tool to "mm" and measure it.

It's exactly 1000mm (1m).

Now try changing the unit of the measure tool to "m".

With most CG tools, it is expected to be converted to "1m", but in the case of 3DCOAT, the value remains the same and only the unit changes to "1000m".

At this point, I didn't understand what it meant, and I was very worried.

Let's change the conversion value to use "m".

Change the value of "SceneScale" in "Edit Scene Scale" from "1" to "1000"

With this, if there is a number "1" in 3D-COAT, it means "1m".

With this setting, you can finally use the major tool "m" with confidence.

Of course, even if you change it to another unit, it will not be converted and the value will remain the same and the unit will just change.

Use the measure tool in the units you set.

If you want to use "cm", set the conversion value to "10"

1m=100cm

inch

1 mts = 39.3701 inches

feet

1 mts = 3.28084 feet

(Why is it so difficult to understand...

At the very least, I would like you to have a specification that allows you to set the conversion value from the measure tool...)
