Wrapping a coil around a cone

I'm looking to create a cone primative which the base is say 100, top is say 25, height maybe 250, then wrap a spiral around it.  I don't see how you wrap to a path, as the spiral is a straight "sprint" but not wrapped against the cone.  My plan was to subtract the spiral from the cone.  Thoughts?  I should note, the cone was created, the spiral (spring) was created, but I do not see how I would wrap it around the cone, angling inwards as it goes up.

You can create a spiral from a Curve of the desired shape. Attach the tube to the curve. And subtract the spiral from the desired volume.
