New Member TPar Posted May 5, 2023 New Member Report Share Posted May 5, 2023 Hi guys! Seems we are having issues with a newly purchased license for 3D Coat. 04.04.2023: Downloaded and installed a 30-DAY-TRIAL/UNLIM LEARNING. 04.05.2023: After expiry we purchased the COMPANY 1-YEAR RENT (Node-locked) license. The computer that 3D Coat is installed on still displays the (learning) option in the top bar and upon exporting crashes the programme. We tried to remove the license and add it again but, the same error still occurs. Also, the email received after the license purchase does not specify where to apply the license to "To apply the license, please copy the licensing information as is (including the three === symbols at the beginning and the end) and launch 3DCoat As well you can download your license file in your account". I have written to sales and support@ but am still waiting for a reply. Please help as our gaming studio relies on this 3D modelling programme
Solution Carlosan Posted May 5, 2023 Solution Report Share Posted May 5, 2023 Hello This popup is not showed ? (Menu Help > Install license) Try this: You copy your new serial to clipboard, and when 3dcoat loads it finds it. It is all listed in the email you will receive. New Member TPar Posted May 5, 2023 Author New Member Report Share Posted May 5, 2023 Yes! Thank you, it worked Instructions should have included this magical word (clipboard). Haven't struggled to install a license before, so was quite surprised at this method. Orig: "To apply the license, please copy the licensing information as is (including the three === symbols at the beginning and the end) and launch 3DCoat As well you can download your license file in your account". My version of instructions: "To apply the license, please copy the licensing information as is (to your clipboard) ensuring you include all the information starting from the three === symbols at the beginning and at the end, and then only launch 3DCoat."
