Blending between layers without merging.

Hi,

I'm pretty new to 3d coat but really loving it and getting on pretty well so far. Apologies if this is a basic question.

If I have two different layers in the sculpt tree which I want to keep separate and not merge, how do I then blend between them smoohtly? For example I want to use the fill tool to smooth a seam between the two layers? As is I can only select one layer and it wont then 'attach' or smooth onto the other. The only way i know is to merge the layers into one.

Is there a simple way around this to keep the layers?

Thanks!

Not possible at the moment.

Auto pick allows the cursor to select the different layers as you sculpt along automatically but will not blend without the seam showing where the objects meet. The seam cannot be smoothed away merging the two objects seamlessly but keeping them separately at the same time.

I should mention the only other way I'm currently doing it is to merge the layers, fill or smooth then use the split tool to recreate layers. But if theres a way to sculpt smoothly across different layers I'd love to know.
