Member Erik_GameDev Posted September 10 Member Share Posted September 10 Hello! I hope I am in the right place, I found the topic of "Paint Room bug hunt", but not sure if it includes 3D Coat Textura or just 3D Coat. Infos: Win10, 3D Coat Textura 2024_26 1. problem: Not existing faces (or existing faces wrongly) appearing in material preview window, and invisible but blocking in normal view. These faces are still there even without preview, as I can not click on things behind them. (Tried painting trough the hole in the back of the images, and was unable to do so.) Images: 1. With the problem in preview window 2. Looking good without preview 3. Inside Blender 2. problem: "Fill" is inconsistently working. Sometimes fills the full model, sometimes just a part of it. Asked about it on a Discord server already, here is the quote: Quote "Depending on where I click, different parts get filled in, but it is prety random. I would expect it to fill everything in in the clicked mesh like in the 2. image, but sometimes it just fills in a part of it. Trying to fill in the left out parts also fills in the already filled parts, painting over the existing texture (in this case, black becoming darker, depth deeper). On the images, I left the cursor where I clicked when taking the screenshot. It seems like it can not go over seams, but only some of them, and only sometimes. I tried restarting already (both the software, and the painting process completely), as it fixed many problems I found, but no luck this time. This is the first model I imported with collision, maybe that can it be? I disabled all those objects tho, should not affect anything, right?" Collision is not the problem, reimported everything without collision, and nothing changed (It would be nice, if models with name starting with "UCX_" would get auto-disabled) The double painting problem sometimes appears, sometimes not, I have no more info about that. Images that were attached: (Also, every part of the same model appears on the images at least once with, and at least once without texture, so you can see what part I am talking about) I do not know what can be the problem for either, if you need any more info, just tell me and I will send whatever I can. I really like this software already, but some weird bugs like these I can not pinpoint keep ruining the experience.

Member Erik_GameDev Posted September 10 Author Member Share Posted September 10 Happening reliably to me. I have included my import settings on the 2. image. Maybe it is a Textura only bug, not present in normal 3D Coat?

Member Solution Erik_GameDev Posted September 10 Author Member Solution Share Posted September 10 (edited) Figured out, it seems like 3D Coat can only handle triangulated models, and Blender is fine without it, Unreal does it for itself. Edit: Both problems seems to be fixed by a triangulate modifier in Blender. Thanks for the help! Edited September 10 by Erik_GameDev
