voxel hide tool does not work

Hi, when I'm trying ti use the voxel hide tool but it does not work, I can only move the view and make a gap when the cursor is over the sphere

If I change the radius the tool does not work?

Hi, I have reset the functions, I click on Voxel Hide and the sphere appears already cut in half, moving the gizmo restores or removes it depending on the movement but when I click and drag with the cursor what applies is the distance tool. I can't find the "resolution" of the tool, it should be set to an average value by default so as not to cause this type of inconvenience.

Thanks carlosan for taking the time to respond, please tell the rest of the support that if they don’t know the problem they shouldn’t be recommending me to try new versions and I would appreciate it if in the courses and tutorials they concentrate on adapting the tools that come incomprehensible by omission, I am not a collaborator of the program, I am a client who is really tired of finding dozens of similar and confusing tools, besides these should be intuitive, I can’t be guessing if the variants and adjustments are out of what is comprehensible, I am supposed to have paid for this program to make my life easier, not to waste it with tools that are never consistent with the explanation. The tutorials on the web can’t be limited to a dense abstract paragraph and the few videos should be more explanatory regarding all the tool adjustments.

On your current version after Reset to Default, is VoxHide working as expected ?

 

Adjust > VoxHide tool is self explanatory

 

If you need to make the hide permanent use Geometry > Delete hidden

or

Create a new object from hidden voxels parts

Thanks, the tool works for me, what I can't do is get the shortcut I made to round the corners to work, 2022 doesn't have the direct option. The invert hidden and the separate hidden volume either don't work or aren't understood.

Another issue, when I try to remove the voxel hidden from the layers it is not possible by any of the buttons.

Yes,. is how 3DC works, there must always be at least one active layer (empty or not).

As you can see when create an empty project on Voxel mode

About Vox Hide, the videos are good but none of them talk about the possibility of creating rounded corners. In the last video it seems that it does it but there is no way to see when it did it (if it did). I was using the GUI of the program but I don't get any results.

Do you keep pressing alt+C when drag to desire size with LMB to change from square to rectangle and vice ?

I changed my shortkey to one letter (not key combination) for easy selection.

I use L as key

to test your config, I changed settings hotkey to alt+c... and the hotkey stop working as expected

The I use backspace to delete the hotkeys, added L again and it is working fine

Hi, please check it, I think I tried all steps as you explained, when I drag it I can't find some option to resize the corner rounding.

Also In Prefs->Tools you may chose what keys combination will be used for E-mode arrays and shape rounding: NONE/CTRL/SHIFT, 0..9, R

So your previous explanation of what it was for and why does the 2022 interface have it?

I dont have a version 2022 installed to take a look, so I am asking if your version show the Edge Radius option.

Some version was at beta stage, and keep features show as prerelease. I don't know if the version 2022 have Edge Radius active on strokes panel as beta option.

If not, I am afraid it is not possible to activate it.

It makes no sense to have beta tools from 2023 in 2022, when you put tools in a version it is for them to work in this one, it is logical, at no time when I bought the program I was told that I would not enjoy said tools, if you buy a 2022 ford fiesta and the air conditioning does not work the heating is not so that I have to pay for another 2023 ford fiesta later, it was clear to you. No software is sold with beta functions, if when updating a purchased version you incorporate a function in its updates of that same version, you cannot take it away from me later, my payment plan was permanent, not by subscription, not even Adobe would do something like that, I have been using software for more than 20 years and its typology does not matter.
