Advanced Member kenmo Posted Tuesday at 05:53 PM Advanced Member Share Posted Tuesday at 05:53 PM (edited) My 3D Coat 2024 license expired Dec 2024. However when I go to extend my license for 2025 as I did last year). I am not given the choice to extend my license for 3DC 2024. I am told that the upgrade from 3DC V4 Pro is already in the cart. Yet when I check my cart it is empty. However I do have an option to upgrade from 3DCoatV2 to 3DC2024 . How do I purchase a new license for my 3DC 2024? Do I choice upgrade from 3DCoatV2? Member SreckoM Posted Tuesday at 10:13 PM Member Share Posted Tuesday at 10:13 PM (edited) Have same question. My license 3DCoat 2023 Individual will expire in 8 days, but I do not see option to upgrade it. I only see option to upgrade, older, v4 licenses. Advanced Member kenmo Posted Wednesday at 01:46 AM Author Advanced Member Share Posted Wednesday at 01:46 AM (edited) Hi Carlosan, I have sent an e-mail to sales@3dcoat.com and did not get a reply. And the discount will expire in a few hours. I appears to be a glitch with 3DC's webstore, I suspect it is not only us two who are having this issue! What gives? I think what happens is that there has not been a new build since your license expired, so Pilgway is not going to take your money again (for something you already own) until there is a new build. In one sense, this is good and honest, but when there is a sale deadline, it can cause you to miss that deadline. Therefore, just send Sales@pilgway.com an email asking them to keep the sale price intact because they (inadvertently) prevented you from being able to make the purchase while the sale was active. I am sure they will make it right. Yesterday was Christmas in Ukraine because the Orthodox Church goes by the Julian Calendar rather than the Gregorian Calendar most in the west use. It may take a day or a few for a response because of the holiday.
Member Galnart Posted Wednesday at 01:10 PM Member Share Posted Wednesday at 01:10 PM (edited) I missed the sale too because there's no build available, I understand that they don't want to sell the same features to me again, I've had a discussion with sales team. I still think that I should be able to choose if I want to upgrade when my days are up even though there's no build ready. I seriously think this system is kinda frustrating, I would like to upgrade the same month every year if I need to upgrade that year. But I do kind of, sort of agree with the no build being available. But IF I was given the option, I would have renewed yesterday with the discounted price. I also understand the environment in Ukraine is not pleasant for Andrew and Pilgway staff due to the war.

I will ask the Pilgway staff about that, so it can be avoided in the future. 1

Advanced Member kenmo Posted Friday at 04:03 PM Author Advanced Member Share Posted Friday at 04:03 PM I contacted Sales@Pilgway.com as suggested. And promptly received a reply that I would be able to upgrade when the new build is available BUT the discount offer could not be extended to me at that time. If I was given the opportunity, I would have gladly purchased the discount offer regardless if a new build was available or not. DAZ3D offers similar discounts for renewing your membership and you can extend your membership at the discount price even if your membership is not up for renewal. Why not Pilgway? Kind of confused by Pilgway's stance. Cheers Kenmo
Member Galnart Posted Friday at 06:57 PM Member Share Posted Friday at 06:57 PM So bad when we lose the discount from no fault of your own. Just because the the website won't allow you to purchase because "they don't want to sell you a patch that hasn't arrived yet" I seriously think this system is much worse than the alternative.
Member SreckoM Posted Saturday at 06:19 PM Member Share Posted Saturday at 06:19 PM In my case does not matter much tbh. I am dominantly Linux user and 3dcaot is failing again with it, so I decided to go with Mari instead. Super stable and operational on Linux. Still learning about new features they added in last few years, and I really hate Foundry as company, but app works great and that is what counts. Advanced Member kenmo Posted 18 hours ago Author Advanced Member Share Posted 18 hours ago While you are on the FOUNDRY website, you can download MODO for FREE as it comes with a FREE 10 year license. I download ver 17.1 and ver 12 as I want Meshfushion. And was able use use their FREE 10 year license on both.

If we take a maintenance fee, we take money in advance, and in some sense, we become debtors. Who knows what the future will be, especially in our times? We do not want to take any money in advance. We want to take money only for something tangible that we made. I think that is an honest position. So, we decided to sell the upgrade when it is ready for the particular customer and to give a new 12-month free upgrade period as a gift. That is why you cannot buy the upgrade if there are no new versions for you (new versions compared to the ones you had access to during your current 12 months of free upgrades). As soon as your free upgrade period expires and the new stable version appears in the download section, which you could not access before, we will put the upgrade button on your license in your Pilgway account, and you can upgrade. After the upgrade, we give you new gift - 12 months of free upgrade period since the date of the upgrade ...
