Inconsistent Depth painting - Is this a Bug?

Hi all,

Trying to paint depth detail using a stencil, and single poly brush. Single click to each relevant poly & I'm getting different depth values. It's clearly stronger on some than others. Tried multiple times.

Any suggestions as right now it seems like a bug

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Thank you for replying. Yes, I was in orthographic and yes I used Max, plus the other options too! Yet again, I'm having to go back to SP. I much prefer working in 3DC but it's paint room needs some serious overall - 3DC could be a major contender to SP, especially with its AppLink, fair pricing policy and I'm sad that this massive opportunity is being wasted

Hi Swifty, maybe if you press E, to select the type of stroke can work for you.
I made a test! with this settings.

Is the UV mapping density similar for all the UV model zones ?
If the texel density differ, the result will be vary.

Hi, Thank you for your reply

For this object I have 2 x UDIM @ 4k each because I wanted to capture as much Hgt detail.

I'll do a screen recording and hopefully you guys might work out what I'm doing wrong
