3d coat projection painting - inconsistent colors

Hello,

I'm currently working with version 2024.25.   I'm trying to project a 4k texture on to a sphere.  The source image is a .TIF, RGB color, 8 bits pc.  The image consists of a white background with blue text.  When projected sometimes it's blue, sometimes it's violet, sometimes it's RED !   I can't figure out why this is happening.

Here is a video to show you what is happening. https://youtu.be/nGpXeVZ-Jrk

Can you tell me why the projected colours are inconsistent and more importantly how I can prevent this from happening in future?

Lastly, I would like to ask is there a limit to the size of an image that I can load?  For example I am using a 4K texture is it possible to project very large textures such as 16K ?   Just curious as to what sort of limitation on size there may or may not be.

Hope someone can help me out.

Cheers,

Joe
