3DCoat 2025 Development

[Bug] Freeze tool not honoring the freeze area with split sculpt by object curve.
My report in SOS has been removed or closed as I am unable to see any posts there at all anymore.

The bug still exists in 2025.11

2025.11 - Vox tool not fixed, symmetry/center placement of the object not fixed, 3dc changing presets when switching between render room/sculpt room not fixed, curve tool without any changes... great.

after 15 million my brush freezes ... if youre making a stroke it just freezes and doesnt move , 

 

using smudge or move on 15 mil crashes it.

22 million polygons. Can't reproduce the crash.

im using a 10900k and 96 gb ram , i know the cpu is slightly older nnow but ive never haad an issue before , i could quite comfortably sculpt at 40 mil before , maybe since 2024 this has been happening , the performaance is slowly becoming bad

I just used the updater , but you can also use the first page of this thread , and download it there/
Patch notes are up as well there now.

but the first page of this thread still shows me version 2025.10 !!!!

 

even the main download page still on 2025.10

Not sure where to ask this. I own 2022.57 and wondered if anyone can tell me some of the benefits of upgrading to 2025.  Thank you. I only use it from time to time when I get inspired. :)

Don't know what's going on, but I'm getting a lot of artifacts/broken meshes in Surface mode, with Auto-subdivide on in brush settings. It's affecting any sculpt I start.

In version 2025.09 it was happening from time to time, in 2025.11 it is very frequent - brush stroke type doesn't matter.

The Smartretopo Tool is the best retopo Tool I think. I prefer to use small sculpt parts and not the whole model for retopo, to do one part at a time. 

-Snapping affects the whole Model, please have a look: (click to play)

The retopo mesh is snapped to the sculpt mesh.
Snapping option is available.

 The option sais: "snap the polygons generated".   But it does not.

Instead it snaps all vertices, from every polygroup, even invisible. (the whole Model gets flattened, with undo impossible.) 

-I am pretty sure you want only the new patch to be snapped? Because this damages the whole Model, like it is now.

Please test the file

There are some great new features but a lot of bugs makes it unusable unfortunately(depending on what you want to do)  I would suggest holding off upgrading for a while longer while they work out the bugs.  I am not gonna upgrade anymore until a lot of broken basic functionality that I require is working again myself.

 

There is a guest licence you can try out on the latest version to see if the features you want to use are working for you if you want to try it out.

Edit: Nevermind about trying the guest licence files seems it expires today on Oct 1

Does anyone know if they fixed the gltl export to be the 2.0 in the new upgrade or is it still at the 1.0?
