Carlosan
Source... TurboSquid is proud to announce a breakthrough in 3D model standardization - StemCell. 3D artists will soon be able to build a model in their preferred format, upload it to TurboSquid's servers, and receive perfect conversions to many other formats, including major game engines. The StemCell 3D modeling specification is built on best practices that allow 3D models to be easily converted for multiple applications and uses. All models submitted for StemCell on TurboSquid must meet the criteria below. However, specification points that contain the RT suffix are intended for artists creating StemCell content for real-time gaming exports. Not meeting the RT criteria will disqualify a model from being converted to Unity or Unreal, but can still be converted to other DCC applications. Note: StemCell v2 only supports a PBR Metallic/Roughness texturing workflow. The following functions have been added to help you make your 3D model compatible with the StemCell 3D modeling specification on Turbosquid. These functions are implemented as a C++ script inside the 3DCoat program. When you click a certain button, the process of checking the 3D model in different 3DCoat rooms for compliance with the corresponding certificate is started. This process runs in a semi-automatic mode. When the script sees a discrepancy with the StemCell certificate, it stops, issues the appropriate messages, and offers you to take manual actions to correct the necessary errors. After you correct the errors at this stage, you need to restart the entire process from the very beginning. In this way, you go through all the stages of checking the 3D model and at the end you get a set of files that need to be uploaded to Turbosquid, so that your model receives the status StemCell Certified. To start this process with your 3D model please import it below and then press Start button.
