Color Picker on Macos Sequoia

Hello, I am using 3DCoat 2024.32.2 on MAC Sequoia 15.3.2.  I can not get the color picker to pick colors from the screen / outside of the 3dcoat app.  I have tried adding the 3DCoat.app manually to the screen recording permissions in the MAC settings panel.  It just always selects black.  I have also tried setting the picker tools option to "Pick a color from the screen" option.

Should the picker work outside of the 3DCoat app?

I can't say for sure if this is a bug or not in 3DCoat. but *most* apps with "eyedropper" color pickers (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, for example) *don't* allow users to pick colors from outside the app. Hopefully this is a thing you can resolve by other means (i.e., taking a screen shot and eyedropper-ing that.)

picker only works on picking the colour on the mesh itself .

To pick colors from outside the viewport, pick a color from the screen must be turned off.

Picker tool has 2 modes on same shortcut.
If you click V one time it picks absolute values, if you double click V it will pick in screen space (including shading).

Also you can select on Windows > Panels > Color Palette [B]

The Image tab (pressing on the 3 vertical dots)) and select any color on this panel from images previously loaded
