New Member Digital Adam Posted May 13, 2025 New Member Share Posted May 13, 2025 I'm coming from Maya which had great retopo tools. I also tried messing with Blender; Retopoflow 4, to see how that compares to Maya as well. So far 3DCoat comes closest to the ease-of-use and speed in Maya. I'm a big fan of Point to Polygons since it's very similar to Maya. Is there a way to set up a hotkey to allow the Tweak > Brush Tool to be used without leaving the Point to Polygons? Holding CTRL makes edge loops which is fantastic, but I'd also like to be able to smooth the mesh as I build. I didn't see that as a choice under the CRTL+Shift option. Thanks, Adam 1 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/31517-retopology-smooth-hotkey/ Share on other sites

Thanks, Adam There isn't an option in the drop list menu for the CTRL or CTRL + SHIFT keys (toolbar above the viewport), but you can shoot development an email (support@pilgway.com) to request it. In the mean time, don't forget, you do have Sticky Key functionality and can use that in lieu of the CTRL and CTRL + SHIFT list menus. Assign a hotkey (like CTRL + B ) for the Brush tool and when you want to temporarily use that tool, just press the hotkey and hold it down while you are using it > release the hotkey when you are done and 3DCoat immediately goes back to the last tool you were using. 1 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/31517-retopology-smooth-hotkey/#findComment-199339 Share on other sites

This video is an old one, but the functionality remains pretty much the same. 1 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/31517-retopology-smooth-hotkey/#findComment-199342 Share on other sites
