I have a object I am trying to split by curves and encountering following issues.

1 .The object curve split is not honoring the actual curve definition.

2. To try and fix this I freeze the area that is getting adversely affected but the split is also not honoring the frozen area.

See attached images.

How do I fix this issue ?

Thank you.

That does not split out the entire shoe top, only the outlined curve which is not what I am after.

Split object by curve does this , which is perfect other then the front area also being cut which I dont want nor even know why its happening at all.

Also the fact it splits though a frozen area is a bug is it not ?  Should all tools respect a frozen area ?

Are you working on orthographic mode ?

if not try switching to it.

yeah if you look in bottom right corner of image I am in Ortho, why would that matter if something is frozen or not , is it not just supposed to honor the freeze no matter those things ? @Carlosando you have access to files that are uploaded to support?  I uploaded the file there you can try it out and take a look for yourself if you can figure out what is going on with it.

Thanks

I can't see from the image you sent what steps you used, did you use curve in the e and then freeze a area that was getting deleted and then split object via curve in the right click menu ?
